The oldest part of The Blue Boar dates from the early 1600s and records show that it has been an ale house since that time. The glass covered well in the restaurant bar is some 35 feet deep and its pure water has been used in the brewing process in the past. Its now the home of a family of koi caouse since that time. The Blue Boar is located in the village of Temple Grafton - ideally placed to enjoy all that the Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and the North Cotswolds have to offer. William Shakespeare was married in Temple Grafton church in the year 1582 to one Ann Whateley. The name is thought to be a misspelling of Hathaway.
